작업 개요
작가는 파푸아뉴기니 아벨람(Abelam) 부족의 가면에서 영감을 받아, 눈에 보이지 않는 존재를 코바늘 편직을 통해 형상화한다. 실을 층층이 쌓아 올리는 독자적인 기법으로 아미니즘적 상상력을 현대적 조형 언어로 전환시키는 작업을 지속하고 있다.

Artist Statement
Inspired by the masks of the Abelam people in Papua New Guinea, the artist creates crochet-based sculptures that give tangible form to unseen presences. Through a unique method of layering thread, the work translates animistic imagination into a contemporary sculptural language.
