갤러리 콜론비는 2016년 창립 이래 구축해 온 핵심 가치를 바탕으로, 아티스트와 컬렉터 그리고 지역사회를 유기적으로 연결하는 동시대 예술 플랫폼입니다. 우리는 회화, 조각, 공예, 디지털 미디어, 패션 등 장르의 경계를 과감히 허무는 다학제적 접근을 통해 현대 미술의 실험성과 지적 감수성을 확장해 왔습니다.

Founded in 2016, Gallery ColonB is a contemporary art platform driven by a core set of values designed to organically connect artists, collectors, and the community. Through a multidisciplinary approach that fluidly transcends the boundaries of painting, sculpture, craft, digital media, and fashion, the gallery expands the experimental spirit and intellectual sensibilities of contemporary art.

Located in Apgujeong Rodeo, a district in Seoul defined by its dynamic and pluralistic cultural lineages, ColonB goes beyond the physical parameters of a traditional white cube. We support artists in their avant-garde creations and experimentations, offering a responsive and nimble program that integrates aesthetic experiences deeply into everyday life.

ColonB’s program focuses on fostering shared lineages and dialogues across generations, bringing together emerging figures and established masters who have built definitive worldviews. This intergenerational and interdisciplinary mix bridges the gap between classical fine arts, contemporary digital media, and the refined values of fine craft.

The history accumulated at ColonB represents the traces of artistic hardship, contemplation, and repeated experimentation. The gallery firmly believes that sharing this rigorous artistic attitude with the public is intrinsically linked to the truest meaning of communication and public engagement in art.

To preserve artistic value as a permanent record rather than a fleeting, episodic exhibition, the gallery established its own publishing house in 2022. From translating and producing archives of global artists to publishing scholarly monographs on prominent domestic figures, ColonB advances artistic legacy and scholarship by transforming visual art into written history.
