세상과 맞닿은 인물의 별자리
작업은 한 개인의 삶 속에서 끊임없이 이어지는 보이지 않는 선택의 과정을 인체 내부의 구조로 상상하고, 그 구조가 피부의 표면과 맞닿는 순간만 외부로 드러나도록 설계한 조각이다. 표면에 떠오른 접촉점들은 금빛으로 반짝이며, 전체 과정이 아닌 결과의 흔적만이 세계에 남는다는 사실을 시각적으로 환기한다. 그 금빛 점들은 우주의 별처럼 흩어져 한 인물의 별자리를 이루고, 관람자는 그 반짝임을 따라 선택의 항로를 더듬듯 읽어 내려간다. 내부의 흐름과 외부의 빛이 만나는 경계에서 형태는 미세한 압력과 접촉의 면적을 드러내며, 비어 있음과 연결의 리듬은 내면과 외면 사이의 숨은 대화를 형상화한다. 결국, 이 작품은 보이지 않던 수많은 결정이 세계와 접촉하는 찰나에 생성되는 빛의 좌표들을 기록하면서, 한 사람이 자신의 삶으로 어떻게 세상과 연결되는가를 조용히 증언한다.
Constellations of a Being in Contact with the World
This sculpture is an architectural imagination of the invisible, continuous process of choices made within an individual's life, designed so that this internal structure is revealed only at the moment it brushes against the surface of the skin. The points of contact that emerge on the surface glisten in gold, visually evoking the reality that only the traces of results—rather than the entirety of the process—remain in the world. These golden points are scattered like celestial stars, forming the unique constellation of a single human being, inviting the viewer to trace the trajectory of these choices as if navigating a nautical chart.
At the boundary where internal flow meets external light, the form reveals the minute pressures and surface areas of contact. The rhythm of voids and connections gives shape to a hidden dialogue between the interior and the exterior. Ultimately, by recording the coordinates of light generated at the fleeting instant when countless invisible decisions encounter the world, this work serves as a quiet testimony to how an individual connects with the world through the act of living.
