내면의 심연에는 수많은 덩어리들이 어둠 속에 뒤섞여 있다. 규정되지 않은 채 던져진 이 실존의 파편들은 그 자체로 불안을 야기하며 나를 잠식해간다.
이 어둠을 비추어 그것이 본질을 벗어난 불안의 실체임을 깨닫게 하는 것은 역설적으로 ‘사랑의 작은 빛’이다. 사랑은 실존의 어둠을 가르고, 무질서하게 뒤엉킨 덩어리들 사이에서 본질의 궤적을 드러낸다.
그러나 내 마음속 실존의 어둠은 무한하며, 본질을 향한 사랑의 빛은 너무나 작고 연약하다. 거대한 그림자가 벽면을 가득 채울 때, 작은 빛은 본질의 형상을 겨우 가늠할 만큼의 공간만을 비출 뿐이다. 그럼에도 나는 이 연약한 빛에 의지해 실존의 심연을 대면한다.
Within the profound depths of the inner self, countless amorphous masses lie entangled in an impenetrable darkness. These fragments of existence, cast without definition or boundary, generate an inherent anxiety that gradually encroaches upon the conscious "I." They represent the raw, unexamined weight of being, drifting in the void.
Paradoxically, it is a "small light of love" that pierces this obscurity, allowing one to recognize that what was perceived as a threatening void is, in fact, the substance of anxiety that has merely strayed from its essence. Love acts as a perceptual catalyst; it cuts through the shadows of existence, revealing the hidden trajectory of essence amidst the tangled, formless masses.
Yet, a poignant tension remains: the darkness within is boundless, while the light of love that seeks essence is exceedingly small and fragile. When the vast shadows of these existential fragments fill the wall, this faint light can only illuminate enough space to barely discern the flickering contours of essence. Even so, it is through this precarious, fragile light that I choose to confront the infinite abyss of my existence.
