작가노트 - 호리 하츠키 Statement by HORI Hatsuki

제가 그리는 것은 일상적인 풍경이나 문득 머릿속에 떠오른 신비로운 상황들입니다. 저는 마치 일기를 쓰듯이 그림을 그립니다.

특정한 주제를 깊이 파고드는 작가들을 존경하지만, 그런 작업 방식은 저와 맞지 않습니다. 만약 억지로 저만의 스타일(화풍)을 정해야만 했다면, 저는 그림 그리는 것을 그만두었을 것입니다. 저에게는 '그리는 행위' 그 자체가 작품을 만들어내는 창작의 원동력입니다.

최근에는 금박과 광물 입자(돌가루 안료)를 사용하고 있습니다. 이 재료들이 빛을 반사하며 물감이 반짝이는 모습을 즐겁게 감상해 주셨으면 좋겠습니다.

What I draw are scenes from everyday life or a mysterious situation that comes to mind. I create art as if keeping a diary.

I admire artists who pursue theme, but that way of working does not suit me.

If I had been forced to decide on a style, I would have stopped drawing. For me, drawing itself is my creative force behind the production.

Recently, I have been using gold leaf and quadrite grains.

I hope you enjoy the way they reflect light and the paint shines.
