이번 전시는 한국 서울의 아트갤러리 ColonB와의 세 번째 공동 개최이며, 치가사키에서 열리는 NIKI의 첫 개인전이다. 커피 업계에서 실제로 활동 중인 작가가 일상과 창작을 병행하며 제작한 회화 작품을 선보인다.
작가 소개
NIKI는 인문학을 전공했으며 2020년부터 본격적으로 작품 활동을 시작했다. 그는 얼굴을 가린 인물들을 반복적으로 그리며 표정을 제거해 여백을 남기는 방식을 통해 인간의 익명성과 존재 방식에 대해 탐구한다.

This exhibition marks the third collaboration with Gallery ColonB (Seoul, Korea) and the first solo exhibition by NIKI in Chigasaki. The exhibition presents new paintings created while the artist continues his career in the coffee industry.
Artist
NIKI has been active since 2020 as a self-taught painter. With a background in humanities, he explores anonymity in human existence by depicting figures with hidden faces, intentionally removing facial expressions to leave a sense of blankness.
